Clinic Updates
It is strongly recommended that you wear some form of facial covering such as a mask, bandana or scarf in a medical setting. You can also help prepare for your appointment by ensuring you wash your hands thoroughly with soap before you leave your home and upon arrival back home. Hand sanitizer is readily available within our medical building. We really appreciate your efforts to help keep us and others safe!
An emergency foot health problem may include but is not limited to:
- Sudden onset of pain in a high risk patient (diabetes, cancer, inflammatory arthritis')
- Present infection with increasing signs of infection (redness, pain, swelling, pus, odour)
- Diabetic foot changes
- Recurring ulcerations or new ulcerations
- Pain altering daily activities
If you are unsure if your condition is considered an emergency, please contact our clinic for advice.
Currently our office has set up protective measures such as:
- Installation of plexiglass barriers
- Adjusting the waiting room layout to ensure physical distancing is enforced
- Screening of patients prior to appointment and at time of appointment
- Appointments will be booked with large gaps between patients
- Temperature gun and hand sanitizer use
- Continued use of quality PPE
- Rigorous cleaning in between patients and all surfaces (Eg. Payment machine, pens, desk)
We are only able to issue a receipt for the patient we have seen.
For example, if the patient who has insurance coverage is "Jane Smith", the receipt and treatment would have to be for "Jane Smith". The receipt must match the patient insured. There are no exceptions.
If you have any questions, please contact your insurance company on their policy. You can always add your uninsured family member to your plan.
